Going Away Party = Sucess! Plus some birthday recognitions...

Happy Birthday to Tirzah today! Everyone be thinking about her or emailing her to wish her a happy one all the way over there in Korea!
Also, I hope that Andrea had a happy birthday yesterday, the 1st of October.

Unfortunately I was unable to go out with her for her birthday because I had scheduled my going away party on the same night. I had guests still at my house, and they were still enjoying themselves immensely when it came time to go out to the bars for Andrea's birthday. It took me a long time to realize this, but you can't always do everyhting for everyone. Sometimes you have to just stick to what you can fully complete and stick to what makes you happy in the moment. In my case, spending time with some of my friends that arrived to the party later was very important to me, so I didn't go out.
The party was great, though! People came to say goodbye to me that I hadn't seen in ages and it was great to hang out with them one last time. I made a veggie plate and we had hummus and guacamole for appetizers beffore heading over to Hacienda Colorado, a new "Mountain Mex" resturant by my parent's house. The food was delicious, the torillas were completely fresh and home-made, and the margaritas were most of all spicy and salty!!!

Nick RRT is making me a blanket in one of my favorite colors (burnt orang) and he had everyone sign the material with sharpies, so it will be a great "memory blanket" to take with me to Austin. And Ashley got me CHOCOLATE from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. What better gift! And Carrie's gift of 2 picture frames, one full frame for the memories and one empty one for the future was fantastic! Her cards brought tears to my eyes for the third time this week. Such kind friends I have, and I'm so glad so many of them were able to come by.

The party ended with a few great meetings of some of my friends. (Some of them hit if off a little TOO well...but I love when my friend meet and have electicity around me) And I ended up sitting on my parent's driveway talking to my good buddy Charles at the end of the evening, and that was a meaninful experience. A lot of good emotions are coming with my decision to leave Colorado, and I hope that the people around me are right when they say that I will do well in Austin. I sure hope I will!

I love all of you that came, and for all of you that were unable to come, I love you too! I'll miss you all!
